Araknis Networks AN-110-SW-R-24 24-Port Gigabit Network Switch

Product Details

Expand a Wired Network with 24 Gigabit Ports

The Araknis AN-110-SW-R-24 is a 24-port Unmanaged+ Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for larger home networks, AV racks, offices, security systems, and structured wiring setups that need reliable wired connectivity without complex switch configuration.

Part of the Araknis Networks family, it combines plug-and-play switching, rear-facing Ethernet ports, silent fanless cooling, and OvrC cloud visibility in a compact 1U chassis.

24 Gigabit Ethernet Ports

  • 24 × RJ45 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet ports
  • 1Gbps support on all ports simultaneously
  • 48Gbps switching capacity
  • 35.7Mpps forwarding rate
  • 8K MAC address table
  • 512KB packet buffer
  • 9K jumbo frame support
  • Store-and-forward switching
  • Auto-sensing, auto-negotiation, and Auto MDI/MDI-X

The 24-port capacity makes this model useful when a router needs additional wired connections for computers, media devices, NVRs, smart-home equipment, control systems, and other Ethernet devices.

Rear-Facing Ports for Cleaner Rack Cabling

The Ethernet ports are positioned on the rear of the switch, helping keep network cables inside the rack or enclosure instead of routing them across the front panel.

If you need fewer connections, compare the Araknis AN-110-SW-R-16 16-port version.

Unmanaged+ Plug-and-Play Operation

The AN-110-SW-R-24 is designed for straightforward Ethernet expansion without the configuration normally required by a fully managed switch.

  • Plug-and-play switching
  • No VLAN or Layer 2 configuration required for basic operation
  • DHCP client enabled by default for switch management
  • Remote reboot through OvrC
  • Firmware updates through OvrC
  • System logging through OvrC

This is an Unmanaged+ switch rather than a full managed Layer 2 switch. If your network requires VLAN configuration, PoE management, SFP uplinks, or other advanced functions, compare other network switches.

OvrC Network Visibility

OvrC provides compatible cloud-based visibility and support functions for the switch.

  • Switch online/offline status
  • Model and firmware information
  • IP and MAC address information
  • Port traffic visibility
  • Port name and speed information
  • Remote firmware updates
  • Remote reboot

OvrC adds monitoring and support capabilities but does not turn the AN-110-SW-R-24 into a fully managed VLAN switch.

No PoE Output

The AN-110-SW-R-24 does not provide Power over Ethernet. Its 24 ports carry network data only.

If you need to power wireless access points, IP cameras, intercoms, or other PoE devices through Ethernet, use a compatible PoE switch or PoE injector instead.

Silent Fanless Operation

The switch uses a fanless enclosure with passive ventilation, allowing silent operation without fan noise. This makes it suitable for media rooms, offices, equipment closets, and racks located near occupied spaces.

Rack, Wall, or Shelf Installation

  • 1U rack spacing
  • Rack mounting supported
  • Wall mounting supported
  • Shelf installation supported
  • Rack ears included

Araknis specifies that wall mounting should position the Ethernet ports toward either the floor or ceiling. Do not stack other equipment directly on top of the switch.

Power and Physical Specifications

  • Input power: 100–240V AC, 50/60Hz
  • Maximum power consumption: approximately 18.3W
  • Dimensions: 12.99 × 1.73 × 9.05 inches
  • Weight: approximately 4.89 lb
  • Operating temperature: 32°F to 122°F
  • Operating humidity: 10–90%
  • Indoor use only

Use appropriate CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cabling for Gigabit connections throughout the network.

What's Included

  • Araknis AN-110-SW-R-24 network switch
  • AC power cord
  • Rack-mount ears
  • Rack-mount screws
  • 4 rubber feet
  • Quick Start Guide

Protect the Network Equipment

For network racks containing the router, switch, NVR, modem, and other always-on equipment, consider an appropriate power management solution for surge protection, power conditioning, or backup-power planning.
