The Strong SM-CS-ART2-XL Contractor Series is a dual-arm articulating wall mount for 47–90" TVs weighing up to 150 lb. It extends more than 30" from the wall, swivels up to 180°, and provides +15°/-5° tilt for flexible viewing and easier access behind the display.

Who Should Choose the SM-CS-ART2-XL?

Choose this mount when a compatible large TV needs significant extension and side-to-side positioning. Its dual-arm design is especially useful where viewers sit at different angles, where the screen needs to turn toward another part of the room, or where easier rear access is important.

TV and VESA Compatibility

Screen size alone does not confirm fit. Your TV must weigh no more than 150 lb and use one of Strong's supported VESA mounting patterns.

30-Inch-Plus Extension and 180° Swivel

The mount extends up to 30.625" from the wall when used with the adapter plate and retracts to approximately 3.5". The long reach can make it easier to angle a large display or reach connections behind it.

Strong specifies up to 180° swivel. Actual usable swivel depends on TV width, wall placement, nearby walls, furniture, and cable clearance. A large 80–90" TV will generally reach the wall or another obstruction before using the theoretical full swivel range.

Tilt and Post-Install Leveling

The mounting head provides +15°/-5° tilt using locking adjustment levers. After installation, the display can also be rotated approximately ±5° for fine horizontal leveling.

This leveling adjustment is intended to correct minor alignment or droop after the display is mounted. It is not a substitute for properly leveling and securing the wall arm assembly.

Horizontal Wall-Position Adjustment

Multiple mounting slots in the back plate provide up to approximately 6" of horizontal positioning flexibility. This can help center the television when the ideal screen position does not align perfectly with the available wall studs.

Adjustable Arm Tension

The articulating joints provide tension adjustment so movement can be made firmer or easier depending on the display and installation. Once adjusted, the TV should move smoothly while remaining stable in the selected position.

Integrated Cable Management

Six cable covers route power and signal cables along the articulating arms. Leave enough cable slack for the complete extension, swivel, and tilt range so connectors are not pulled, crushed, or pinched as the TV moves.

Installation and Wall Requirements

The wall or supporting structure must safely carry the combined weight of the mount and display. Strong's installation manual provides mounting procedures for appropriate wood studs and concrete walls.

For concrete installations, Strong specifies a minimum concrete density of 2000 psi, at least 1-3/8" of usable concrete thickness for the supplied anchors, and mounting into solid concrete or suitable block rather than mortar joints.

A minimum of two people is required for installation. Do not rely on drywall alone as the structural mounting surface.
