Tilt and Final Level Adjustment

The tilt mechanism provides up to 12° forward tilt and 5° in the opposite direction. Ratcheting adjustment handles on the TV arms secure the selected angle.

After installation, adjustment screws at the top of the arms allow fine horizontal leveling. Strong's current product specification lists up to 3/4" of post-install leveling adjustment, which can help compensate for small alignment differences without removing and reinstalling the wall plate.

Low-Profile Design and Outlet Access

The mount positions the TV approximately 2.6" from the wall. Strong uses a wide-open wall plate design to leave useful space around electrical outlets and in-wall AV connections behind the display.

The locking system uses pull cords for releasing the TV arms from the wall plate, with magnetic ends that can be stored out of sight after installation.

Installation and Wall Requirements

The mounting structure must safely support the combined load of the TV, mount, and attached hardware. Strong's installation manual covers mounting to suitable wood studs and concrete construction.

For wood framing, Strong specifies a minimum 2" × 4" stud size with no more than 3/8" drywall covering the studs. The mount attaches across two studs. For concrete installations, the manual specifies concrete with a minimum density of 2500 psi and provides separate requirements for concrete block.

Do not rely on drywall alone as the structural mounting surface. Strong recommends installation by a qualified professional, particularly for large and heavy displays.
