Who Should Choose the SM-CB-F-M?

Choose this mount when your compatible TV will remain in one position and you want it to sit close to the wall. A fixed mount makes the most sense when the screen can be installed at a comfortable viewing height and the seating position is mainly straight ahead.

If your TV will be mounted higher and needs downward angle adjustment, choose a tilt mount instead. Confirm your TV's exact VESA pattern in its manufacturer specifications before ordering. Also check the location of power, HDMI, network, antenna, and other rear-facing connections because this mount keeps the display close to the wall.

Low-Profile Fixed Design

The SM-CB-F-M positions the TV approximately 1.65" from the wall. Strong's open-back wall plate provides useful space around outlets and in-wall AV connections behind the display.

Because this is a fixed mount, it does not tilt, swivel, or pull away from the wall. If you regularly need access behind the TV, confirm that your power plug, HDMI connectors, adapters, streaming devices, and cable bend radius will fit comfortably within the available space.

Post-Install Leveling

Adjustment screws at the top of the mounting arms allow small corrections to the TV's horizontal level after installation. Strong's current product specifications list up to 3/4" of post-install leveling.

This feature is intended for fine alignment and should not be treated as general vertical TV repositioning or as a substitute for correctly locating and leveling the wall plate.

Locking Pull Cords and Outlet Access

The TV arms lock onto the wall plate after the display is hung. Pull cords release the locking mechanism when the TV needs to be removed, while magnetic cord ends help keep the cords stored out of sight.

Installation and Wall Requirements

The wall structure must safely support the combined weight of the mount, TV, and attached components. Strong's installation manual provides instructions for suitable wood-stud and concrete mounting.

For wood-stud installations, Strong specifies mounting across two studs, with studs at least 2" × 4" and no more than 3/8" drywall covering them. For concrete installations, Strong specifies concrete with a minimum density of 2500 psi and provides separate requirements for concrete block.

Do not rely on drywall alone as the structural mounting surface. If you are unsure about the wall structure, fasteners, or load capacity, confirm the installation requirements before mounting the TV.
