TV Compatibility

Screen size alone does not determine compatibility. Before ordering, confirm that your TV weighs no more than 200 lb and that its mounting-hole pattern matches one of the supported VESA configurations. The XL mounting system supports patterns through 800 × 600 mm.

Also check the position of your TV's power connection, HDMI ports, ventilation areas, and other rear connections to make sure the mounting hardware will not obstruct them.

Installation and Wall Requirements

The mounting surface must be capable of supporting the combined weight of the mount and display. Strong provides installation instructions for suitable wood-stud and concrete mounting conditions. The manual specifies wood studs of at least 2" × 4" with no more than 3/8" drywall covering them and provides separate requirements for concrete installations.

Do not rely on drywall alone to support this mount and a large TV. Wall construction, fastener placement, and structural capacity should be confirmed before drilling.

Strong specifies a minimum of two people for installation. This is especially important when lifting and attaching a large display to the articulating assembly.

Built-In Cable Management

Three cable management clips are installed on the articulating arms to help route power and signal cables as the TV moves. Leave enough cable slack for the full range of extension, swivel, and tilt so cables are not stretched or pinched.
