The Pure Resonance Audio S6 is a 6.5-inch two-way surface-mount speaker designed for indoor and outdoor background music, foreground music, paging, and general-purpose audio. Its built-in transformer supports 70V and 100V distributed systems, while an 8-ohm bypass allows use with compatible conventional amplifiers.

70V, 100V, and 8-Ohm Compatibility

For 70V or 100V systems, add the selected tap wattage of every speaker connected to the amplifier. Leave amplifier headroom rather than designing the system at the amplifier's maximum rated output.

When using the 8-ohm bypass, connect the S6 only to an amplifier designed for conventional low-impedance speakers.

Outdoor and Weather Resistance

The S6 uses a UV-protected ABS enclosure and carries an IP65 weather-resistance rating. IP65 provides protection against dust and water jets, making the speaker suitable for many outdoor installations.

IP65 does not mean waterproof or suitable for permanent underwater installation. Avoid submersion and install the speaker and wiring connections according to the manufacturer's outdoor-installation guidance.
