Who Should Choose the MX9?

Choose the MX9 when you need to combine several microphones with music or other audio sources and want hands-on control from a rack-mounted mixer. The MX9 is a mixer, not a power amplifier. For passive speakers, connect its output to a compatible audio amplifier. Powered speakers with suitable line-level inputs can connect to the mixer without a separate power amplifier.

Seven Microphone and Line Channels

Channels 1–7 each provide an XLR microphone input, a 1/4" TRS line input, and a 1/4" TRS insert. Switchable +48V phantom power supports compatible condenser microphones.

Three-Band EQ and Individual Channel Control

Each of the first seven channels provides individual gain, high/mid/low EQ, pan, pre-fader listening, peak indication, and a volume fader. These controls help balance voices and music before they reach the main output.

The mixer also provides a 75Hz high-pass filter for microphone inputs to help reduce unwanted low-frequency noise.

24-Bit DSP Effects

The onboard 24-bit DSP processor provides 24 effect presets, including reverb, delay, vocal echo, chorus, flanger, phaser, and pitch-change effects.

These are audio effects for shaping a mix. The MX9 should not be confused with a dedicated speaker-management DSP that provides independently configurable loudspeaker crossovers, delay, and room correction for multiple speaker zones.

The integrated media player includes a display and supports Bluetooth audio streaming from compatible devices, USB/MP3 playback, USB sound-card functionality, and USB computer recording.

Bluetooth provides a convenient music source alongside microphones or other connected inputs. It does not make the MX9 a wireless speaker or give it built-in amplification.

Flexible Outputs and Monitoring

Connect the MX9 to a compatible amplifier or powered-speaker system using its stereo XLR or 1/4" TRS main outputs. Separate AUX and FX outputs provide additional routing options, while the front-panel headphone connection supports monitoring.

Each channel also has a pre-fader listen (PFL) switch for checking its signal independently of the main mix.
