   It’s designed for commercial 70V or 100V distributed audio using the built-in taps. For a typical home 8 ohm receiver setup, you usually want a non transformer model.
   
2. Do I need an amplifier?
   Yes. These are passive ceiling speakers, you’ll need a 70V or 100V amplifier to run them in a distributed system.
   
3. How do I size the amp for multiple speakers?
   Pick a tap wattage per speaker, add all tap wattages together, then keep the total below the amp channel rating with headroom, I like planning around 70% to 80%.
