Power Up to Four Stereo Audio Zones
The Episode EA-DYN-8D-100 is an 8-channel Class D amplifier for up to four stereo zones using conventional passive speakers. Each zone can use its own analog source or select from shared analog and optical inputs.
Power Output
- 8 × 100W RMS at 4 ohms, all channels driven
- 8 × 50W RMS at 8 ohms, all channels driven
- Up to 4 × 200W RMS bridged at 8 ohms
- 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response
- Class D amplification
Bridge mode combines two channels into one higher-powered mono output and requires an 8-ohm minimum speaker load.
Source Flexibility
- Local analog RCA input for each stereo zone
- Two shared stereo analog inputs, Global A and Global B
- One shared optical S/PDIF input for a 2-channel digital source
- Per-zone selection between local, optical, Global A, or Global B
- Individual gain adjustment for each zone
The optical and global inputs can be shared across multiple zones, while local inputs allow individual sources to feed specific zones.
Subwoofer Support
Each zone includes a mono line-level subwoofer output with a fixed 200 Hz low-pass filter. Use a powered subwoofer or separate subwoofer amplifier. The sub outputs cannot directly power passive subwoofers.
Power and Control Options
- Audio-sensing automatic power mode
- 12V trigger input and output
- Always-on mode
- Per-zone clip indicators
- Analog and optical loop outputs for system expansion
This amplifier does not include DSP, Ethernet, IP control, OvrC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, app control, or built-in streaming.

How many zones can the EA-DYN-8D-100 power?
It provides eight amplifier channels, typically used for up to four stereo zones.
How much power does each channel provide?
It delivers 100W RMS per channel at 4 ohms or 50W RMS per channel at 8 ohms with all channels driven.
Can channels be bridged?
Yes. Each channel pair can be bridged to provide 200W RMS into an 8-ohm mono load.
Can different zones use different sources?
Yes. Each zone can use its own local analog input or select the shared optical, Global A, or Global B source.
Does it have an optical input?
Yes. It includes one shared optical S/PDIF input for a 2-channel digital source, plus an optical loop output for feeding additional equipment.
Does it have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, DSP, or app control?
No. Separate source and control equipment is required when those features are needed.
Can I add subwoofers?
Yes. Each zone has a mono line-level subwoofer output with a fixed 200 Hz low-pass filter. Use a powered subwoofer or separate subwoofer amplifier.
Does it support 70V or 100V speakers?
No. It is designed for conventional passive 4-ohm and 8-ohm speaker systems.
Can it power outdoor speakers?
Yes, when using compatible low-impedance outdoor speakers. The amplifier itself must remain indoors.
What should I confirm before ordering?
Confirm your number of zones, speaker impedance and power handling, source connections, bridged-zone requirements, subwoofer needs, and volume-control method.
