Product Details

Power Up to Eight Stereo Speaker Zones

The Episode EA-DYN-16D-100 is a 16-channel Class D amplifier for multi-room home and business audio systems. It powers up to eight stereo zones using local analog inputs, two shared analog inputs, or one shared optical digital source.

Power Output

  • 16 × 100W RMS into 4 ohms, all channels driven
  • 16 × 50W RMS into 8 ohms, all channels driven
  • Up to 8 × 200W RMS bridged mono into 8 ohms
  • 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response
  • Class D amplification

Bridging combines one stereo channel pair into one higher-powered mono output. Maintain an 8-ohm minimum load when using bridge mode.

Source and Zone Flexibility

  • Local stereo analog input for each zone
  • Two shared stereo analog inputs
  • One shared optical S/PDIF input for a compatible 2-channel digital source
  • Rear-panel input selector for each zone
  • Individual gain adjustment for each channel pair

The optical input is shared across the amplifier. It is not a separate optical input for every zone. Source selection is performed using the rear-panel switches, not through an app or network interface.

Subwoofer and Expansion Connections

Each zone includes a mono line-level subwoofer output with a fixed 200 Hz low-pass filter. Connect it to a powered subwoofer or separate subwoofer amplifier. It cannot directly power a passive subwoofer.

Two analog loop outputs and one optical loop output allow shared sources to feed additional amplifiers.

Power and Control

  • Audio-sensing automatic power mode
  • Always-on mode
  • 12V trigger input and output
  • Individual zone clip indicators and protection

This amplifier does not include Ethernet, IP control, OvrC, DSP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, app control, or built-in music streaming. A separate source, controller, preamplifier, matrix, or streamer is required for music selection and everyday volume control.

Speaker Compatibility

Use conventional passive 4-ohm or 8-ohm speakers. This model does not provide 70V or 100V speaker outputs. Confirm speaker impedance, quantity, wiring method, and power handling before connecting multiple speakers to one channel.

Included and Sold Separately

Included: One amplifier, detachable IEC power cable, rack ears, removable feet, and installation manual.

Sold separately: Speakers, speaker wire, audio cables, streaming sources, controllers, volume controls, and powered subwoofers.

Dimensions and Installation

  • 17.2 × 4.05 × 12.2 inches with feet
  • 17.2 × 3.55 × 12.2 inches without feet
  • Approximately 14 lb
  • 2U rack space
  • Black finish
  • Two-year limited manufacturer warranty

Install indoors in a dry, ventilated location. The amplifier is not weather resistant and should not be placed outdoors, near sprinklers, or in damp areas.
