Power Up to Six Stereo Audio Zones from One Amplifier

The Episode EA-DYN-12D-100 is a 12-channel Class D amplifier designed for multi-room audio systems using conventional passive speakers. It can power up to six stereo zones, with local source inputs for each zone plus shared analog and optical sources.

Power Output

• 12 × 100W RMS at 4 ohms, all channels driven
• 12 × 50W RMS at 8 ohms, all channels driven
• Up to 6 × 200W RMS bridged at 8 ohms

• Class D amplification

Bridge mode combines two adjacent amplifier channels into one higher-powered mono output and requires an 8-ohm minimum speaker load.

Flexible Source Connections

• Local stereo RCA input for each of the six zones
• Two shared stereo RCA global inputs
• One shared optical S/PDIF input for a compatible 2-channel digital source
• Input selector for each zone
• Individual gain adjustment for each zone

Each zone can select its local analog source, Global A, Global B, or the shared optical source. Source selection is performed at the amplifier and is not an app-controlled audio matrix.

Subwoofer and Expansion Outputs

Each zone includes a mono line-level subwoofer output with a fixed 200 Hz low-pass crossover. Connect it to a powered subwoofer or separate subwoofer amplifier. It cannot directly power a passive subwoofer.

Analog and optical loop outputs allow shared sources to be passed to additional compatible equipment.

Speaker Compatibility

Use conventional passive 4-ohm or 8-ohm speakers. This amplifier does not provide 70V or 100V speaker outputs.

Use 14-18 AWG stranded speaker wire and confirm speaker impedance, quantity, wiring, and power handling before connecting multiple speakers to a channel.

Yes. It has one shared optical S/PDIF input for a compatible 2-channel digital source. It is shared across the zones rather than providing a separate optical input for each room.

Does it have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, DSP, or app control?

No. This model does not include wireless streaming, Ethernet, IP control, OvrC, or DSP. Separate source and control equipment is required when those features are needed.

Can I add subwoofers?

Yes. Each zone has a mono line-level subwoofer output crossed over at 200 Hz. Use a powered subwoofer or separate subwoofer amplifier.

Does it support 70V or 100V speakers?

No. It is designed for conventional passive 4-ohm and 8-ohm speaker systems.

Can it power outdoor speakers?

Yes, when using compatible low-impedance outdoor speakers. The amplifier itself must remain indoors in a dry, ventilated location.
