The Araknis AN-320-SW-F-24-POE is a fully managed Layer 2 Gigabit PoE+ switch for larger home, security, AV, and business networks that need centralized power and greater network control.

Part of the Araknis Networks family, it combines 24 front-facing Gigabit PoE+ ports, a 375W PoE budget, dual SFP uplinks, VLANs, link aggregation, and OvrC remote management.

24 Gigabit PoE+ Ports

• 24 × 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 ports
• IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at PoE/PoE+
• Maximum output per port: 30W
• Total PoE budget: 375W
• Up to 15W simultaneously across all 24 ports
• Per-port PoE enable/disable, priority, overload protection, and power settings

It can power compatible IP security cameras, wireless access points, touch panels, and other PoE devices. When planning the system, add the maximum possible wattage of all connected devices and keep the total within the available PoE budget.

Dual 1G SFP Uplinks

• 2 × dedicated 1Gbps SFP uplink ports
• Supports compatible RJ45 or fiber SFP modules
• SFP ports do not consume one of the 24 PoE ports

SFP modules are sold separately. These are 1Gbps SFP ports, not 10Gbps SFP+.

Managed Layer 2 Networking

• IEEE 802.1Q, port-based, private, and Voice VLANs

These features make it easier to separate camera, Wi-Fi, AV, guest, and other traffic when used with a compatible router and properly configured network.

OvrC Remote Management

OvrC provides compatible remote monitoring, firmware management, diagnostics, and network visibility. The switch also includes a web-based management interface and CLI access.

Important Installation Notes

This PoE model uses active cooling and should be installed with adequate airflow. Araknis does not recommend wall mounting the AN-320-SW-F/R-POE models; rack installation is the preferred choice.

For a system with many powered devices, consider protecting the switch, router, and recorder with a suitable power management solution.

How many PoE ports does the AN-320-SW-F-24-POE have?

It has 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports, and all 24 support IEEE 802.3af PoE and 802.3at PoE+.

What is the total PoE power budget?

Araknis specifies a 375W total PoE budget, with up to 30W available on an individual port.

Can every port provide 30W at the same time?

No. The 30W rating is the maximum for an individual port. Araknis specifies up to 15W simultaneously across all 24 ports within the 375W total budget.

Does it have SFP uplinks?

Yes. It has two dedicated 1Gbps SFP uplinks. Compatible RJ45 or fiber SFP modules are sold separately.

Is this a managed switch?

Yes. It is a fully managed Layer 2 switch with VLANs, link aggregation, STP/RSTP/MSTP, QoS, ACLs, 802.1X, port security, and other management features.

Does it support OvrC?

Yes. OvrC supports compatible remote monitoring, firmware management, diagnostics, and network visibility.

Are the ports on the front or rear?

This model has front-facing ports. The AN-320-SW-R-24-POE provides the same general port count and PoE class with rear-facing connections.

Can it be wall mounted?

Araknis does not recommend wall mounting the AN-320-SW-F/R-POE models. Rack installation is preferred.
