The Araknis AN-110-SW-C-5P is a compact 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for behind-TV locations, structured wiring cans, smaller AV setups, offices, and other spaces where a full-size switch is difficult to place.

Part of the Araknis Networks family, it combines five Gigabit Ethernet ports, PoE-powered operation, one downstream PoE output, silent fanless cooling, and basic OvrC cloud visibility.

The switch is a practical local expansion point when a router or main network switch is located elsewhere and several nearby wired devices need Ethernet connectivity.

PoE+ Powered Without a Local Adapter

Port 5 serves as the PoE input. When connected to an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ source, the switch can receive both network data and power through the same Ethernet cable.

The power supply is not included. The switch can be powered from a compatible PoE/PoE+ source or the optional AN-ACC-PS-48V1A DC power supply.

One 15.4W PoE Pass-Through Port

Port 4 can provide IEEE 802.3af PoE output up to 15.4W when sufficient input power is available. This can simplify connection of one nearby compatible device such as an wireless access point or low-power IP device.

When the switch receives only standard 802.3af PoE input, the downstream port operates as Ethernet only and does not provide PoE output. Use 802.3at PoE+ input or the optional DC supply when PoE pass-through is required.

Important PoE Distance Consideration

Araknis states that PoE pass-through distance is limited when the switch itself is powered by PoE+. The optional DC power supply is the preferred power method when a full-length downstream PoE cable run is required.

Always confirm both the downstream device's power requirement and Ethernet cable distance before relying on the PoE pass-through port.

Unmanaged+ with OvrC Visibility

The AN-110-SW-C-5P is an Unmanaged+ switch. It provides plug-and-play Ethernet switching while adding basic OvrC cloud visibility for compatible remote monitoring and troubleshooting.

How many Ethernet ports does the AN-110-SW-C-5P have?

Can the switch itself be powered by PoE?

Yes. Port 5 can receive power from a compatible PoE or PoE+ source. IEEE 802.3at PoE+ is recommended when downstream PoE pass-through is required.

Will PoE pass-through work with standard 802.3af input?

No. The optional Araknis AN-ACC-PS-48V1A 48V DC power supply is sold separately.

Is this a managed switch?

It is an Araknis Unmanaged+ switch. Basic Ethernet switching is plug-and-play, while OvrC provides compatible cloud visibility and support functions. It is not a full Layer 2 or Layer 3 managed switch.

Does it support OvrC?

Yes. The switch is OvrC enabled for compatible remote visibility, firmware updates, notifications, and troubleshooting.

Is the switch fanless?

Yes. It uses passive fanless cooling for silent operation.

What is the switching capacity?

Araknis specifies a 10Gbps switching capacity and 7.2Mpps forwarding rate for the 5-port model.

Can it be installed behind a TV?

Yes. Its compact fanless design is specifically suited to locations such as behind TVs, structured wiring cans, shelves, and VersaBox installations.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. Araknis specifies this switch for indoor use.
