1. Is this a powered subwoofer?
   No. It’s a passive in-ground sub, it needs an external amplifier. It’s designed to pair cleanly with Sonance Garden Series style outdoor systems.
   
2. Why does it use dual voice coil wiring?
   It uses 4 conductors, one pair for the left channel and one pair for the right channel. That helps keep bass present across stereo outdoor layouts.
   
3. Where should I place it for the best bass outside?
   Aim for a central spot relative to your satellite speakers for the most even bass. Avoid low areas that pool water, and keep the top canopy above the soil line as intended.
